Helen Urquhart of the National Piping Centre marketing department has sent this: The Board of the National Piping Centre is delighted to announce that Finlay Johnston will step into the new role of Head Piping Teacher at The National Piping Centre from 1st July 2020. P/M Jimmy Banks MBE Reports: John Dew won our knockout round yesterday (Nov 24) against Lewis Russell held at the Scots Guards club, Haymarket, Edinburgh. We had a good audience of approximately 50. Next up on the last Sunday in January we have Angus McColl Jnr and Calum Wynd.

P/M RT Shepherd MBE

It is with great regret that we report the passing of P/M RT Shepherd of Cardenden, Fife, and formerly of Dysart and Dundonald Pipe Band. Bob was 81 and had been ill for some time. Bob Shepherd was a double winner of the World Pipe Band Championship and proprietor of his own bagpipe making firm. His instruments won countless major awards.
