Day Two at the Argyllshire Gathering saw the bulk of the ceol beag events taking place at a bright, warm (eventually) Mossfield Park, Oban. Four of the major piobaireachd competitions in world piping were held today in Oban, Argyll.The winner of the Senior Piobaireachd award for former winners of the Gold Medal was Glenn Brown formerly of Ontario now of Glasgow, the Gold Medal to Craig Sutherland from Crieff and the Silver Medal to Cameron MacDougall from Nigg. Argyllshire Gathering Underway – MacGregor Qualifiers Announced

The 2017 Argyllshire Gathering began this morning in Oban with the major piobaireachd events, the Gold Medal, Senior Piobaireachd, Silver Medal and MacGregor Memorial Piobaireachd.  Four qualifiers for the MacGregor Memorial competition announced early afternoon were: Brodie Watson-Massey, John Dew, Rebecca Tierney, Calum Brown, Brighde Chaimbeul, Andrew Ferguson, Lewis Russell, Donald Stewart.
