The picturesque Fife village of Ceres hosted its annual Highland Games last Saturday, June 24. Duthie Park, Aberdeen, was the venue for this year’s European Pipe Band Championships, the second major of the season. Ninety – one bands entered. Three separate minor pipe band contests took place last weekend at Aberdeen, Lochore in Fife and in Edinburgh. All were organised by the various branches of the RSPBA.
