The 10th annual Captain John A MacLellan MBE Memorial Piping Championship was held at the Army School at Inchdrewer House, Edinburgh, today. B & C grades were oversubscribed, good A grade entries but P grade entries were, by comparison, poor. The P Piobaireachd and the Hornpipe and Jig were streamed live over Facebook. Lochnell Championship 2023 Line Up and Judges Announced

The Argyllshire Gathering Trust’s Lochnell Intermediate Piping Championship will take place on Saturday, 21 October. Entries Open for New Junior Piobaireachd Contest/ Callum Beaumont Western Isles Recital

Entries are now open for a new junior piobaireachd competition being run by George Watson’s College in Edinburgh. The inaugural ‘Caritas Banner’ Competition is on Sunday 26 November. Sponsors are Kintail Bagpipes and the Piobaireachd Society. The school, founded in 1741, has as its motto ‘Ex Corde Caritas’ (Love from the Heart).
