Junior competitions (ceòl mòr and ceòl beag) for 16-18s, under 16s and chanter, are in the City of Glasgow College in Cathedral Street from 9am.
Piping Instructor Job
P/M Gordon Bruce: ‘We are currently recruiting a second piping instructor here at St Columba’s School in Renfrewshire.
Chris Gray has moved on after four great years, and we are now looking for someone new to join the team. The closing date for applications is 30 September 2026.’
The blurb reads: St Columba’s School is situated in the beautiful Renfrewshire countryside just 30 minutes from Glasgow. We invite applications from enthusiastic and committed teachers to work as the second piping instructor with the school’s piping and drumming programme.
Applicants will preferably hold a degree or an equivalent piping qualification. The successful candidate will work a minimum of one and a half days per week on a self-employed basis in the Junior School and assist band rehearsals and events.
