Northern Meeting Day 2 – Clasp and ‘B’ Grade Ceol Beag

29040280765_bd65c91576_oDay Two of the Northern Meeting kicks off today with the Clasp competition, the premiere event for ceol mor, the ‘B’ Grade light music and the Hornpipe & Jig.

It should be noted that Douglas Murray has withdrawn from the competition owing to pressure of work. There have been other withdrawals too and for this reason the start time was changed from 8.30am to 9am.

Results from the various competitions as we get them. Check out yesterday’s complete results here. The picture up top is of Ian K MacDonald and Sean MacKeown who placed first and second in both Gold Medal competitions at Oban and Inverness. They remain firm friends despite the former getting ahead of the latter twice within eight days.
