Glasgow Battalion Solo Piping and Chanter Competitions
BB-winner
Connor Black the main winner at the Glasgow Battalion BB Championships

Bryan Sinclair, Music Panel Convenor, The Boys’ Brigade Glasgow Battalion, reports: On Saturday 29th November 2014, Croftfoot Parish Church (16th Glasgow) played host to the annual Glasgow Battalion Chanter and Solo Piping competitions. The event was well supported and the standard of playing continues to improve year on year. Adjudicator and Ex 7th Paisley member Alan McGeoch (Johnstone PB) commented: ‘It’s been a while since I’ve been associated with the Boys’ Brigade and I was delighted to be asked to judge the contest. There’s a lot of promising young talent and I would like to wish them every success for the future.’

A special thanks goes to Wallace Bagpipes & Bowes Bags for their sponsorship. The next event in the Battalion’s musical calendar is the annual mini and full band contests on Saturday 21st February 2015 at Ibrox Parish Church.  For further information please contact Bryan Sinclair, Music Panel Convenor at:  musicpanel@bbglasgow.org.uk
