Four of the major piobaireachd competitions in world piping were held today in Oban, Argyll. The winner of the Gold Medal was Alasdair Henderson, P/Sgt of the Inveraray Pipe Band. Worlds Full Results: Boghall Do It At Last!

Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia, under P/M Ross Harvey, are the new World Pipe Band Champions. They were placed first ahead of Field Marshal Montgomery today at Glasgow Green.
