This contest was held yesterday as part of the Virginia International Tattoo. Chieftain of the Day was Jimmy McIntosh. Highlands & Islands Festival Results Updated with Juniors

A very successful competition was held in Oban High School today with judges reporting a good standard of playing in all events. Pleased to see such a healthy entry for the Grade 1 contest at Gourock on May 14 with Glasgow Police, Shotts, Inveraray and Scottish Power all to the fore. There is a top down effect at these minor contests. If the big boys are there it gives the event the kudos it requires and brings in much needed revenue. This well supported solo competition run by the Northern Ireland Branch of the RSPBA was held yesterday in Lisnagarvey High School, Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
