Pitlochry Concert/ Nicol Brown Results

Our ‘Raasay Pitlochry Concert’ takes place in Pitlochry Town Hall the evening before the Glenfiddich, writes Angus Clarke.

It’s quite different to the Raasay Competition held last month in that the emphasis is much less on playing for step-dancing, and is instead more of a concert of top class piping.

The aim is to provide a varied, interesting – and entertaining – contrast to the equally top class competition piping that will take place the following day in the ballroom of Blair Castle.

Details below, including the link to the page for buying tickets for said event. Join us for a relaxed, and likely up-tempo, evening of traditional music.

Performers: InB, a superb quartet of pipers from Scotland and Ireland, Brighde Chaimbeul and Fin Moore (Scottish Smallpipes) and Louise Mulcahy and Tairnán Ó Duinnchinn (uilleann pipes).

Then we have Angus MacColl on Highland pipes and Ross Ainslie on Border pipes.

It’s all pulled together by Hamish Moore and very much focussing on taking piping back to its Gaelic roots as celebrated at the
Raasay Restitution Competition held annually in early September. Tickets here or by using the QR code.
