The 2026 Atholl Gathering is this Sunday, May 24. It has attracted a very large entry. Piping Convenor Jack Taylor: ‘It is a busy field, although manageable due to a fair number of withdrawals.
‘The weather is looking fair – 22 degrees, sun/light cloud, so it should be a good day all round for the first outdoor contest of the season.
‘Competitions start at 9.30am sharp. Pipers must check in on the field before then or they may not be allowed to play. Can any piper withdrawing PLEASE let us know as soon as they can on atholl.gathering.piping@gmail.com or 07730666168.

There are piobaireachd events for all grades and open MSR and H/J. The latter are played in four heats, three from each going forward to a final. Four tunes required in all piobaireachd events, three of each in MSR and own choice H&J. Juniors own choice.
