President Logan Tannock and organiser Gary Nimmo of the Scottish Pipers’ Association: We are delighted to share the entry form for the 2024 Veterans Competition to be held in the National Piping Centre, McPhater St., Glasgow, on 6th December 2024 at 7pm.
Competitions are for slow air, 2/4 march and medley selection. Each performance must be between six to ten minutes and can include one, two or all categories at the players’ discretion.
All competitors must be over 60 on the day of the competition. Pipers currently competing in open competition are not eligible to enter.
A competitor may wish to only compete in events 1 & 2 in which case that should be intimated at the time of entry. Time starts when the pipe is first struck. Entry numbers may be restricted due to time constraints. The exact number will be decided by the committee and priority will be given to SPA members.
For the first time in the history of the event, it will be open to non-members who will be required to pay a non-member levy. Entry fee payable on the evening, £2 (members), £5 (non-members). Entries no later than Monday, December 2nd.
