Ross’s Records

Linlithgow piper Ross Miller has released two new recordings. Ross says, ‘These are two upbeat tracks [called Dedication Jigs and Restalrig Reels] which effortlessly intertwine top quality tune playing with an exciting rhythm section. The fresh compositions are traditional in essence but have glimpses of modernity and flair throughout to keep the listener engaged.

‘The opening motif of ‘The Restalrig Reels’ was composed whilst on tour in America last year. The second tune is a reworking of a competition-style tune composed by one of today’s foremost pipers, Alasdair Henderson.

‘The tunes in ‘The Dedication Jigs’ are both dedicated to people or places. The first was composed to mark my great friend and piper Calum Watson’s wedding and the second for a special Christmas gift.’
