D-Day is Tomorrow for Atholl Gathering ‘Live’ Decision

The first major Highland Gathering of the summer is due to be held at Blair Atholl on Sunday May 30th. A decision whether it goes ahead ‘live’ will made after the Scottish Government briefing tomorrow, Tuesday 16 March.

If it cannot go ahead in person then Piping Convenor Dr Jack Taylor has confirmed that it will do so online with the usual competitions: A/P/Non-CPA Piobaireachd, CPA B and C Piobaireachd, open light music and Under 18 Piobaireachd and light music. 

A formal announcement with entry details will be made as soon as possible. 

Other events scheduled are the parade by the Atholl Highlanders on May 29, preceded by a talk.



The Atholl Gathering takes place on the following day, with the Atholl Highlanders officially opening the Highland Games with a ‘March On’, led again by the sound of their pipes and drums.

Admission: Adults – £7; Children (5-16) – £3, under 5s – Free; Seniors – £5; Parking – Free
Tickets for the Atholl Gathering can only be purchased on the day, CASH ONLY

Gates open at 9.30am, competitions start from 10am
