President Jonathan Quay has announced new sponsorship from the Piobaireachd Society. ‘We are thrilled to announce the The Piobaireachd Society (Scotland) as a funding partner for the 2026 solo piping season. Their generous sponsorship will directly support the study and performance of Piobaireachd here in Victoria.

‘This partnership reflects our shared commitment to nurturing the ceòl mòr tradition and providing opportunities for pipers to engage deeply with the great music. Through the Society’s support, the VPA will be able to:

1 Offer enhanced piobaireachd events with access to world-class judges.
2 Continue to present workshops and learning opportunities to support players at all levels.
3 Present set tune lists aligned with international standards, helping our pipers prepare for major competitions both here and abroad.

‘We extend our sincere thanks to the Piobaireachd Society for their belief in our community and their ongoing efforts to promote the art and study of piobaireachd worldwide.

‘Stay tuned for updates on workshops, competition dates, and performing the 2026 set tunes — a fantastic season lies ahead!’
