A good turnout of seven seniors and seven junior pipers played at this year’s competition on August 24, reports Jane Drennan, Piping Convenor at Glenurquhart. Iain MacFadyen and DJ MacIntyre judged the seniors and Archie Drennan the juniors.

Nairn

One of the few games with a poor turnout this summer, writes adjudicator Lewis Barclay. This can be attributed to a clash with Glenfinnan Games, Helmsdale Games and the World Pipe Band Championships. On a dry breezy day, August 17, we had only five juniors and two adults in the open. Well done to 11-year-old Lary Presslie who played the Company’ Lament in the under 18 Piobaireachd.
