The first Highland games on Scottish soil for almost two years took place today. The Grampian Highland Gathering was staged in the Princes Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Braemar, Aberdeenshire. The last full Highland Games were staged at Braemar in September 2019. For those not at the Worlds yesterday there was the opportunity to play at the most picturesque Highland games in the world, Glenfinnan. Finlay Johnston won the overall with Ian K MacDonald, Ontario, close behind. Ten played. Rapidly-changing weather throughout contest with three seasons in a day.
