The historic South Uist Games were held today on Askernish machair, writes Margaret Mary Findlay. The solo entries were up from previous years with a uniform high standard of playing. Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band, reigning World Champions, have launched a crowdfunding campaign for our pre-Worlds concert, ‘Cabar Feidh’, writes band Manager David Burnside. The promoters, West Dunbartonshire Council, have issued the following information about the forthcoming Scottish Pipe Band Championships to be held at Levengrove Park, Dumbarton, on July 27.
