For those not at the Worlds yesterday there was the opportunity to play at the most picturesque Highland games in the world, Glenfinnan. Shotts Win Worlds Title

Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band are the new World Champions. They won both MSR and Medley sections to take the title today at a cold, but ultimately sunny, Glasgow Green. Forecast for today’s G1 Worlds qualifying is for a dull day with a maximum temperature of 15degs; no sun. Glasgow International Piping Festival got off to a stormy start yesterday but the weather didn’t affect the performance or the enthusiasm of the New Zealand Police Pipe Band, who travelled 11,000 miles to compete at the Worlds on Saturday and to play at the festival.
