Worlds Tickets on Sale – Discounts for Buying in Advance

Glasgow Life, Promoters of the World Pipe Band Championships, have announced the ticket prices for this year’s two-day event at Glasgow Green on August 16 and 17. In the past the competition has attracted up to 40,000 people making it one of the biggest outdoor entertainment events in Scotland. UK Pipe Band Championships – SLOT Triumph

St Laurence O’Toole from Dublin are the new UK Pipe Band Champions winning today in Bangor, Northern Ireland, in perfect weather conditions. SLOT secured two firsts for piping, a fourth for drumming and second for ensemble. Two medleys were required in G1. The 45th annual Livingstone Invitational professional solo piping competition was held on May 11 at the historic James Street Armouries in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in the Officers’ Mess of The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada.
