The final of the popular Scots Guards Knock Out competition was held yesterday (June 23rd) in the Scots Guards Club, Haymarket, Edinburgh. Cameron May of Dillarburn, Lanarkshire, was the winner in a close contest against Sandy Cameron, Roy Bridge. Both young professionals put on an outstanding show for the packed audience. ‘Pibroch by the Sea’ Details Announced

Details of the annual ‘Pibroch by the Sea’ event in Brittany, France, have been announced by the promoters. In a departure from previous years, performances of ceòl mòr will be given at the spectacular Mont St Michel a couple of hours drive east from the usual host village of Cancale. All 2,475 seats for Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Pipe Band’s Worlds Week concert have been taken. The concert, entitled ‘Cabar Feidh’, is on August 14 at 7.30pm. Tickets were priced at £36.40 and £35.28 plus online/ phone purchase fees.
