The Scottish Pipers Association has announced the playing order for Saturday’s (November 8th) Juvenile contest being held in the Piping Centre (the former College of Piping building) in Otago Street, Glasgow. Glass Chanter Retained by Angus MacPhee

At a meeting of the Inverness Piping Society, Angus MacPhee was presented with the 2025 Glass Chanter for the second year running, write Steven McCabe and Jean Cameron. The chanter and a cash prize of £200 go to the piper with the most points in the North Games – those held north of the Great Glen. This annual contest, run by the Scottish Piping Society of London was held in the Caledonian Club, Belgravia, on October 31 and Nov 1. Another Band Folds/ Piobaireachd Society News/ RSPBA Annual Fees

Another pipe band, the Vale of Atholl Grade 2, has folded. However, the name will continue with the organisation’s newly-promoted Grade 3b band. P/M Jamie Falconer has also decided to leave the band organisation. In a statement the Vale said the decision to disband had not been taken lightly.
