The RSPBA has issued all playing requirements for bands for the four major championships of the 2025 season. We suggest the table below is read carefully.
We assume the reference to ‘Maximum Parted’ tunes in the Grade 1 Worlds section means ‘Maximum 4-Parted’ tunes.
In Grade 2, ‘Scenario 1 ‘ only kicks in if there are 24 or more bands entered. Failing this ‘Scenario 2’ will operate. Events will be straight through finals unless the number of entries require qualifiers to be held.
At the Worlds the Friday Grade 1 competition will be Round 1 of the Final unless entries trigger the qualifier threshold, presumably the same trigger as G2, 24. In this scenario G1 Friday will become qualifying day. Check out the prescribed lists of tunes for Novice and G4 here.
