Glasgow Life, Promoters of the World Pipe Band Championships, have announced the ticket prices for this year’s two-day event at Glasgow Green on August 16 and 17.
In the past the competition has attracted up to 40,000 people making it one of the biggest outdoor entertainment events in Scotland. Up to 200 bands are expected to compete as Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate defend their 2023 title.
The prices below DO NOT include the cost of a seat in the stands round the Grade 1 arena. These are ‘coming soon’ say the promoters. There are discounts for ‘early bird’ buyers but once transaction fees are added these are not as generous as they seem at first.
These fees are £1.50 for an online sale and £1.75 for a phone sale. Therefore the actual cost of an Adult ticket in advance for the Saturday is £24 if purchased online.
Onsite box offices will operate both days at the People’s Palace and in Charlotte Street. There’s an additional box office in the Saltmarket on the Saturday. Buy tickets here. A family ticket is for two adults and three children. Prices:
Friday (gates open 8am):
Saturday (gates open 7am):

It is expected that the Worlds will be live streamed once more by Glasgow Life and BBC Scotland.
No grade one seating left the way these tickets are put out for general sale is a total joke why can’t all tickets be released at the same time would make more sense And yet again on the Saturday there will be empty seating In the arena around pathetic
