Ulster Solos and Games Updates

The Ulster Solo Piping & Drumming Championships 2024, were held on Saturday 13 April in Lisnagarvey High School, Lisburn. Run by the RSPBA Northern Ireland Branch, the solos attracted a large entry.

Piping Champion for 2024 was Ashley McMichael of Field Marshal Montgomery, with runner up Kris Coyle from the same band. Ashley and Kris are pictured above. Results:

INVERARAY
Piping Convenor Brian Spalding: A reminder that entries for the 2024 solo piping competitions close at one minute to midnight on Friday, 26th April. Entries in senior events limited to 25.

We have full allocations for the Grade C competitions and have opened a Reserve List. Limited spaces remain in the Junior and other Senior Events. Twelve entries currently at P&A grade and 21 at B.

The 2024 Gathering is on August 6/7. Tune requirements here. Entry form here. The Silver Chanter Recital Competition will take place on the evening of the 7th at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Sleat, Skye. Full details later.
