Threatening clouds at Killin on Wednesday

Twenty-one played in the senior events at Killin Games on Wednesday (Aug 7) with a strong turnout in the junior events, too. Despite ominous torrential rain when pipers were gathering, conditions soon changed to occasional sunshine and showers. Champion Piper: John Dew.

Ballater Games

Ballater Highland Games were held in the village’s Monaltrie Park, in the shadow of Craigendarroch Hill, the landmark that the 2/4 march is named after.

The weather was pleasant and the organisers had a good crowd in attendance. There were 14 in the adult piping competitions.
