Aberdeen Games and Corgarff Games Results

Inaugural winner of the Aberdeen Piping Society Trophy for U18 Piobaireachd, Chris Drummond

Piping Convenor Fraser Maitland reports from yesterday’s (June 15) Aberdeen Games….Thankfully the rain held off despite a yellow weather warning for the North East. Interesting to note a higher turnout in juniors than in seniors. According to a few competitors and parents, this was due to the addition of a new piobaireachd competition for U18s.

Despite a few hiccups including a missing board for the senior MSR, and stewards balancing pipe band timings with the solo draw, a successful competition was held. A huge thank you to judges, stewards, competitors; we look forward to seeing you all next year.
