North Uist Highland Games were cancelled on Friday 19th July, 2024 due to the threat of gale force winds taking place later in the day, writes Ashley MacDonald.
However the piping and highland dancing competitions carried on as normal in local village halls. The standard of piping was exceptional with pipers from New Zealand, Australia, Florida and Canada adding to the home contingent.
