Our correspondent reports: The games took place in Grant Park and the weather was warm and sunny. There was a good crowd of spectators. There may be a spin-off from he six years of success following the pipe band championships at the town. This year the organisers included a piobaireachd competition, a very welcome addition as there are not a lot of piobaireachd competitions in the area.
The late John MacDonald (Inverness) is interred in the cemetery overlooking Grant Park and there is something fitting that piobaireachd should be introduced at the venue.
