The RSPBA website is back up after a few hours down for essential maintenance. The new draw for the Scottish Championships to be held at Dumbarton on July 25 is announced as:

In today’s illustrated article we look at a letter from Gillies to Archibald Campbell, Kilberry, and discuss the playing of Robert Reid and the ‘redundant A’.  MacDougall Gillies is pictured up top from a painting done in his early days as a young competing piper.
