Inveraray Are Champions of the World

Inveraray Pipe Band under P/M Stuart Liddell are the new World Pipe Band Champions. They were placed first ahead of Field Marshal Montgomery. SLOT took the drumming title. 200+ bands took part across all grades. Conditions were wet, cold and blustery in the morning but improved later.  The RSPBA summary sheets showed the final totals. The Grade 1 title was earned over two days of competition.

  1. This years Grade 1 contest has been the most challenging and demanding competition in the history of the RSPBA. I congratulate Inveraray & District on a magnificent achievement. I do hope this much improved format will continue in future years, which allows all bands to play on both days, and which provides a result which is completely fair and incontrovertible.
