New Piping & Drumming Teaching Posts in North East and Edinburgh

Ms Alex Duncan, Chief Executive of the Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust: An opportunity has arisen for a Chanter/ Bagpipe tutor and a Snare Drumming tutor to teach during the school day in some of the Forres and/ or Elgin primary and secondary schools and to develop a schools pipe band in each location.  

Applicants may wish to work in one, or in both locations. The roles are on a self-employed basis. The tutors must be able to support pupils to achieve  to SCQF Level 6 through the Curriculum for Excellence and the Piping and Drumming Qualifications Board (PDQB) and must be able to develop a youth pipe band. Experience of working in schools and with groups of pupils of varying ages and abilities is desirable. 

Applications will be by CV and covering letter. Closing date for applications is Friday 7th June. Interviews will be held between 17 and 28  June, date to be confirmed, and the role will start in the new school year in August.
