Donald MacPherson Part 2/ Piping Live/Classic Piobaireachd Volume 3

The second part of our look back at the life of the late master piper Donald MacPherson is published today.

In an interview from 1998 he talks of his early days and the debt he owed to his father Iain in correcting his fingering, teaching him how to tune and to set up the bagpipe, and of his success in his first ever contest as a boy aged 15. Read it here. Read the first excerpt here.

UntitledThere will be a launch concert for Piping Live 2015 next Wednesday, May 27th at 7.30pm, with Stuart Liddell, Finlay MacDonald and Shotts & Dykehead among those headlining the performances.
