We continue today with the second part of our ‘Famous Pipers’ interview with P/M Ian McLellan, formerly of Strathclyde Police PB. In it, Ian gives us the benefit of his vast experience with bands, pointing out the pitfalls, what impresses judges. He goes on to talk of his favourite bands and why he liked them.
We would welcome comments from anyone who has memories of hearing Ian’s band in their prime, or indeed from anyone who played under him. In further articles we look at Ian’s earlier career, how he started piping and his successes in the solo world. Read part two of his interview here.
