The Blackthorn Pipers’ Society Annual Recital Night 2014,

Andy Wilson reports: As a society, this year we welcome one of the world’s most celebrated pipers to our annual recital night. Our guest recitalist this year is none other than Pipe Major Gordon Walker. This will be our third annual recital and one that we are very much looking forward to. Gordon is no stranger to these shores and has always put on an electric performance wherever he has played.[easyrotator]erc_14_1414056032[/easyrotator]
The recital this year again will be held in Dromore Rugby Club on Saturday 15th November 2014. It is a ticket only event due to the restriction of numbers in the venue. There will be no doubt that Gordon will attract a big crowd given his status as a recorded piper on The World’s Greatest Pipers CD Series, therefore it is encouraged to purchase tickets early so as to avoid disappointment as we expect them to move quickly. Members of The Blackthorn Pipers’ Society reserve the right for free entry into all events organised by the society as part of their membership and therefore will not need to purchase a ticket for themselves.
Food will be served during the evening in the form of a hot buffet, tea and coffee and is included with your ticket.
We will also have live traditional music from ‘Bearnagh’ during the evening and a raffle will also take place. As a society we look forward to organising our recital nights as they bring people together in enjoyment of the Great Highland Bagpipe, and we look forward to seeing you there.
