Judges, competitors, supporters and organisers joined together tonight to mark the start of the Meetings courtesy Inverness Town Council. There were speeches by the Lord Provost [mayor] and Alan Forbes, the Piping Convenor of the NM. After this we had a superb selection from last year’s Inverness Gold Medallist, Calum Beaumont, and concluding the night the pipe band of the Queens Own Highlanders Association delighted a large crowd with some entertaining pipe band music.
